Are cafe COVO TANA and cat cafe Gatti located in different places?
Both are in the same building. The first floor is Cafe COVO TANA, where you can eat and drink, and the second floor is Cat Cafe Gatti.
Is there parking available?
Yes. There are 4 to 6 parking spaces in front of the store, so please don't worry.
I heard that it's difficult to visit the store if you're injured?
We regret to inform you that we cannot accept people with leg or back injuries or disabilities.
This cat cafe is located in an attic with a low ceiling, so you will need to move around while crouching and climb a narrow, sloping staircase. Please note that this may be dangerous for those with disabilities.

Can I eat at Cat Cafe Gatti?
Eating and drinking are not permitted at the cat cafe. This is because the rooms are small and the distance between you and the cats is close, so there is a risk that the cats may eat human food. Please enjoy spending time interacting with the cats. You may bring only water or tea in a sealable container such as a plastic bottle.
Can I give treats to my cat?
Some cats require health management depending on their physical condition or constitution, and some cannot eat treats, so we ask that customers refrain from giving food or treats to our cats.
Please note that at Gatti, our staff manages the diet of each cat according to their constitution and medical history.
Do you have to take your shoes off at cat cafes?
Yes. You will need to take off your shoes before entering the room. If this bothers you, please consider bringing socks with you.
Can only children use the facility?
We ask that children up to the sixth grade of elementary school be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
Do I have to make a reservation?
As the facility is limited to one group at a time, reservations are required. You can use the facility on the day or at the last minute if there is availability, but we ask that you make your reservation as early as possible.
Can I extend the time on the day?
If there are no reservations for the later time slot, it is possible, but if there are reservations, it is not possible. We recommend that you make a reservation for the desired time in advance.
Can I adopt a cat I like?
Cats available for adoption can also be adopted into your family. In addition, when adopting a cat, we will follow the Amami Cat Club adoption process, including matching with an owner and visiting the home to check the breeding environment. Where do you get your cats from?
We take in cats that are available for adoption, either from residents who have inquired about stray cats or from cats captured through TNR, which is conducted by the government, only when we have the capacity to care for them.
What is TNR?
This is one of the measures to combat stray cats, and involves sterilizing stray cats without owners to prevent their population from increasing further. The TNR measure is an acronym for T (trap), N (neuter), and R (return).
