Cafe COVO TANA opens in Okumacho, Naze, Amami City

Volunteers living on Amami Oshima gathered together and founded the "Amami Cat Club" with representative Kuno at the center.

Researchers and experts on rare animals and invasive species, as well as countermeasure workers from other regions, are invited to hold countermeasure discussions, study sessions, awareness events, adoption events, etc.

In cooperation with Amami Oshima's nature conservation organizations, the NPO Amami Wild Bird Society and the Amami Mammal Research Society, the Amami Cat Problem Network (ACN) was formed and began activities to raise awareness of the cat problem on Amami Oshima.
